The primary purpose of this position is to complete training on various department aspects, ensuring food quality, food safety, and compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (S.O.P.s), FSIS Regulatory, Animal Welfare, and GFSI requirements. Product compliance with both internal and customer specifications is key. The role will involve becoming qualified to work in specialized areas and demonstrating abilities to progress to higher-level Quality Assurance (QA) positions. The employee will work with both supervision and co-worker assistance in the live receiving, live storage, picking, and evisceration areas, learning how to execute tasks and gain an understanding of the processes involved. Knowledge will be demonstrated through written testing, direct observation, and accuracy in task execution.
