About The Position

Plans, coordinates, monitors, and directs quality control programs designed to ensure food safety consistent with established company and regulatory standards. Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and performs any duty assigned to best serve the company.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and control an effective quality assurance program, including daily product testing and verification.
• Assist with the monthly self-audit of the operation to determine the level of compliance with the good manufacturing practices (GMP), Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP), and company policies relating to food safety.
• Maintain and control effective quality assurance/food safety procedures and practices.
• Ensure overall compliance with government food regulatory agencies and other applicable regulations, including state-specific regulatory programs.
• Manage and update to ensure compliance with the Food Safety Plan/ SQF program.
• Prepare the facility to successfully achieve and maintain SQF Status.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
