About The Position

The Department of Healthcare and Family Services, Bureau of Quality Management is seeking a professional and motivated individual to serve as Quality Assurance Supervisor.  This position will direct the analysis and evaluation of performance for Managed Care Organizations and other providers. This position will also coordinate and evaluate State-Directed Payment quality initiatives.  Additionally, the supervisor will develop, recommend, and implement policies and procedures for the statewide Performance and Review Program. Requirements

  • Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to completion of four (4) years of college.
  • Requires prior experience equivalent to three (3) years of progressively responsible administrative experience in a Health and Human service organization.
  • Requires a minimum of two (2) years of healthcare and human service experience specifically related to Quality Management of a Statewide Performance and Review Program.
  • Requires two (2) years of data analysis experience including evaluating/testing and mining data specific to quality performance and using data extraction tools to present data reports.

  • Minimum of two (2) years of professional experience ensuring compliance with state and federal guidelines, rules and regulations relating to long term care quality performance.

Responsibilities

  • Subject to management approval, serves as the Quality Assurance Supervisor in planning, directing, and evaluating the Managed Care Quality initiatives under the Performance and Review Program
  • Serves as a working supervisor
  • Directs the analysis and evaluation of quality assurance activities as it relates to the Department's Quality Strategy
  • Confers with vendors, other Department representatives, and interested parties regarding quality assurance
  • Provides input and guidance to management staff regarding policy and procedural changes to maintain objectives established by the Department
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above
