The Premium QA Supervisor Position reports to the Executive Chef and works closely with the District Safety Manager to ensure that food safety is a top priority to culinary teams across all premium kitchens. Job Responsibilities Job Duties:The QA Supervisor is the extra set of eyes, ears, and hands embedded for the Food Safety Team across all premium culinary departments. This includes acting as a coach and on-the-spot trainer related to the list of items below. The successful candidate will work to build strong relationships with chefs, cooks, and kitchen staff in an effort to become a trusted resource when there are questions or issues related to food safety procedures. Duties include following up with each kitchen multiple times throughout a given shift to ensure that kitchen staff is: Taking and logging refrigerator/freezer temps Washing hands properly and frequently Wearing gloves while handling Ready-To-Eat food Wearing hats/hair nets Keeping potentially hazardous (TCS food) out of the temperature danger zone Taking and logging temperatures of cooked, reheated, and hot or cold held foods Stacking food properly in refrigerators (in top-to-bottom order) Properly labeling and covering foods and discarding any food past their use-by date Keeping cleaning and sanitizing chemicals away from food Not eating or snacking in food production or dishwashing areas Storing beverages and personal items in designated places Keeping hand wash sinks free and clear and only washing hands in handwash sinks Testing and logging sanitizer concentration in dish wash sinks Stocking and using food safety items and PPE Ensuring employees report any pest sightings or mechanical breakdowns Generally not engaging in activities that will make food unsafe Upholding Aramark's standards for safe food handling as detailed in visual aids and ongoing training efforts Candidates from all professional and educational backgrounds will be considered. A food service background and/or Servsafe Certification are preferred. Successful candidates will be self-starters who possess the ability to communicate confidently and professionally, a fast-paced sense of urgency and the ability to prioritize multiple competing responsibilities without losing sight of bigger picture goals and duties.
