About The Position

The Quality Assurance Specialist is a key contributor to maintaining and improving the integrity of our manufacturing processes and products. This role is responsible for implementing and sustaining the Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure compliance with company standards, customer requirements, and industry regulations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, meticulous attention to detail, and proficiency in ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 quality tools within a manufacturing environment. This is a hands-on position that requires active engagement in daily operations and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Associate degree and two years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • Working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 and IATF 16949 standards and tools
  • Strong documentation and organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Must exhibit a positive/professional attitude, ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy and organization skills required.
  • Strong verbal, presentation, and written communication skills
  • Crane Pumps & Systems will only employ those who are legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the administrator for the Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), forms, and other controlled documents.
  • Manage document control activities, including revisions and updates to SOPs and related materials.
  • Coordinate and track training for new and revised QMS documents to ensure timely completion.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives utilizing Crane Business System tools.
  • Participate in Kaizen events, IATF 16949 Core Tool development, and structured problem-solving activities.
  • Assist with third-party compliance during contract review to ensure adherence to quality and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct routine quality inspections and audits of products and processes.
  • Support internal and external audits with customers and third-party teams, tracking findings and driving to timely completion of follow up.
  • Lead calibration activities and manage non-conforming material processes.
  • Support root cause analysis and corrective actions while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Provide general support for all aspects of the Quality System.
