POSITION SUMMARY The Quality Assurance Specialist is responsible for ensuring that the organization’s quality standards and regulatory requirements are consistently met. This role includes supporting quality assurance initiatives such as assisting with CARF accreditation, preparing for and participating in quality reviews, and managing ongoing quality monitoring efforts. This position supports the CARF survey preparation and contributes to ongoing accreditation readiness by assisting with documentation review, evidence compilation, data validation, and coordination of readiness activities. The Quality Assurance Specialist also supports market-specific data integrity oversight, ensures compliance with incident reporting requirements, and assists with the navigation, investigation, analysis, and report development related to grievance matters. Additionally, this role involves analyzing and compiling data to ensure the accuracy of reports and identifying areas for continuous improvement. The Quality Assurance Specialist plays a critical role in maintaining high standards across the organization, ensuring that processes are efficient, effective, and compliant with all relevant regulations.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience relevant to the work performed.
  • Direct experience with CARF (Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities) required.
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for quality improvement, compliance, and technical reading/writing.
  • Operation of computerized software programs, databases, and basic office equipment.
  • High level of confidentiality.
  • Experience in incident reporting, grievance resolution, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Knowledge of quality management systems and tools used for tracking and reporting quality metrics.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate and interpret complex data sets, identify trends, risks, and anomalies, and translate findings into actionable insights.
  • Demonstrated experience with data integrity principles, reporting tools such as Power BI, and process automation using platforms like Power Automate to support quality improvement and operational efficiency.
  • Analyze complex datasets to identify trends, risks, anomalies, and data integrity issues impacting quality, compliance, and operational performance.
  • Maintain dashboards and reports using Power BI to support quality monitoring, performance tracking, and leadership decision-making.
  • Perform data integrity validation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency across systems, and investigate discrepancies as needed.
  • Design and implement automated workflows using Power Automate to streamline data collection, validation, alerts, and reporting processes.
  • Translate analytical findings into actionable insights and recommendations, supporting continuous improvement, audit readiness, and operational efficiency.
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams, collaborating with other departments to implement quality assurance initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in maintaining and supporting CARF accreditation efforts and preparations for quality reviews.
  • Monitor and report on quality assurance activities to ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
  • Oversee the collection and analysis of data from surveys, ensuring accuracy and integrity.
  • Assist in managing and responding to incident reports, ensuring compliance with incident handling procedures.
  • Support grievance processes, ensuring proper documentation and resolution in accordance with company policies.
  • Conduct regular quality monitoring to identify trends, issues, and areas for improvement.
  • Prepare and maintain reports related to quality assurance metrics, incidents, and compliance activities.
  • Collaborate with the Quality Assurance Manager and other departments to promote continuous improvement in quality practices.
  • Ensure that all quality assurance processes and activities are aligned with regulatory requirements and organizational goals.
  • Participate in training and development related to quality assurance and compliance standards.
  • Provide support to the team in evaluating and improving quality assurance processes and initiatives.
  • Other duties as assigned.
