About The Position

CGI Federal is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will ensure that all information systems products and services meet the client's standards and end-user requirements. This role involves thoroughly testing software, reviewing and validating products, maintaining quality assurance documentation, and collaborating with project teams to resolve issues. This position is located in our Fairfax, VA office; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Experience in quality assurance and software testing.
Strong attention to detail and analytical skills to ensure product accuracy and correctness.
Proficiency in creating and maintaining quality assurance documentation.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with software testing tools and methodologies.
Experience in problem resolution and process improvement.
Knowledge of information systems and end-user requirements

Responsibilities

Ensure that all information systems products and services meet the client's standards and end-user requirements.
Thoroughly test software to ensure proper operation and freedom from defects.
Review and validate software and/or data products along with their documentation for completeness, accuracy, and correctness.
Create, organize, and maintain all quality assurance documentation to support project objectives.
Document all problems encountered during testing and work with project teams to resolve them efficiently.
Report progress on problem resolution to management, ensuring transparency and accountability.
Devise improvements to current procedures and develop models for possible future enhancements to optimize quality assurance processes.
