About The Position

The Quality Assura nce Specialist for Self-Directed Supports is responsible to ensure compliance , oversight, and adherence to all program r egulat ion s set forth by OPWDD Self Dir ected Services and agency guidelines. The Center for Family Support (CFS) mission is to provide support and assistance to individuals with developmental and related disabilities. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in health-related field preferred , familiarity with current r egulat ions and 2+ years of experience with s upporting indi vi duals in th e OPWDD system.
  • 1+ year of experience with Self-Directed Services/Supports pref erre d.
  • Ability to maintain a high lev el of confidentiality
  • Commitment to company va lue s and adherences to policies is excpected
  • Familiar with OPWDD / SDS , and OMIG regulatory standards
  • Knowledge of OPWDD procedures and regulations for programs and service documentation & follow-up
  • Ability to communicate effectively with others and individuals served is essential
  • Exceptional organizational skills and diligence required
  • Ability to work under stringent timeframes and meet deadlines
  • Must be profic i ent in Microsoft Word and

Responsibilities

  • Audit / review department, program and agency business practices, both planned and unannounced. These include corporate compliance audits and record reviews for CFS-SDS.
  • R ev i ew results of internal audits / reviews with administrative staff, provide technical assistance for correction and document all
  • Conduct follow-up program reviews.
  • Support other agency departments in understanding and following regulations and best
  • Occasionally cond uct investigations of allegations, incidents and corporate compliance issues according to OPWDD and/or OMIG
  • Conduct intervi ews, examine documents, collect evidence, and write reports concerning allegations of abuse and/or other incidents requiring investigation.
  • Complete any ne eded follow up tasks relating to inve s
  • Provide, implement, and monitor recommendations as a r esult of investigations and audits to ensure follow-through, as assigned.

  • Carry out tasks as delegated by supervisor(s).
  • Position requires flexible hours; off hours on call respon s ibilities ; and travel to all agency sites as needed.
