About The Position

The Quality Assurance Specialist is responsible for overseeing, monitoring, and auditing products and services received in support of S&K Aerospace’s Air Force programs. Primary responsibilities include processing and managing Supplier Discrepancy Reports (SDRs) for assigned programs. This position requires strong abilities to manage multiple detailed, time-sensitive tasks simultaneously; proven experience in customer and vendor management; strong, accurate, and professional communication skills—including the ability to read and write technical details; strict adherence to established procedures; and the continual maintenance of quality standards for systems, products, and services. Additionally, the Quality Assurance Specialist may be required to inspect items received in the warehouse to verify compliance with applicable program and quality requirements.

Requirements

  • Minimum three (3) years of experience in quality processes, quality assurance and/or certified formal training in the field required.
  • Current drivers’ license, proof of U.S. citizenship or proof of authorization to work in the US and the ability to satisfy a background investigation to obtain a security clearance.
  • This position requires excellent English language skills, strong verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to effectively communicate before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
  • Must display thorough knowledge of document management and working knowledge of general business principles and practices.
  • Demonstrate critical thinking to carry out instructions furnished in written, verbal, or diagram form.
  • Possess problem solving and analytical skills needed to investigate and develop theories and conclusions based on information gleaned from multiple sources of information.
  • To perform this job successfully, the individual must show proficiency with computers, software and general office equipment. Intermediate or higher proficiency using Microsoft Office programs specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Must have excellent organizational skills.
  • Must have outstanding attention to detail and data input skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree in related technical discipline from an accredited university/college required. Bachelor's degree is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and follow up on Supply Discrepancy Reports (SDR) submissions on products, materials, and components to ensure timely resolution and close out.
  • Utilize investigative techniques to review objective/qualitative evidence to support recommendations and to justify final decisions.
  • Communicate effectively through verbal and written communications to customers, vendors, U.S. Government representatives and management.
  • Support quality and organizational mission by maintaining effective quality standards as established by the requirements of AS9100 and ISO 9001:2015.
  • Must perform other duties as assigned at the discretion of management.
