Lutheran Services Florida (LSF) is seeking a dedicated Quality Assurance Specialist who is passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of others. The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure compliance with the Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) policies, which involves managing formal internal quality assurance processes and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of federal and state policies and procedures. The Quality Assurance Specialist will communicate with ORR regarding internal quality assurance efforts and will play a crucial role in the development and implementation of program performance initiatives in collaboration with program staff. In this position, the Quality Assurance Specialist will ensure compliance with data entry of impact and key metrics, which are essential for developing trend reports and identifying areas for improvement. The role also includes overseeing compliance with LSF, ORR contracts, and Council on Accreditation (COA) procedures, standards, and protocols. The Specialist will respond to internal and external audit findings, participate in program monitoring and audits, and set up processes to ease the audit burden on program staff. Additionally, the Specialist will identify training requirements for staff and design training programs related to program competency. The Quality Assurance Specialist will assist in investigating adverse events and critical incidents, ensuring that corrective actions are taken as necessary. The role requires maintaining best practice standards and outcomes, ensuring that all program licensing and legal requirements are met, and providing technical assistance to all program areas. The Specialist will also assist the Associate Vice President of Quality Assurance with COA re-accreditation processes and perform other duties as required to meet program goals. This position requires the ability to react productively to change, maintain effective communication with staff and clients, and uphold Health Information Privacy (HIPAA) standards.
