About The Position

RN Quality Assurance in the Emergency Department at Providence St. Mary Medical Center in Apple Valley, CA. This position is Full-Time and will be a Hybrid working situation (includes working on-site at the hospital and from personal residence). The Quality RN Specialist functions as a facilitator to the organization-at-large and to the Medical Staff in their commitment to improving the quality of patient care and organizational performance through the Performance Improvement Program. This individual abstracts and manages appropriate data for a variety of purposes including indicator reporting projects, information management and decision making, and tracking and trending data for identification of variations in the delivery of patient care. Works with the physicians and hospital personnel to develop projects for review and analysis of aggregated data. Assists the Manager, Quality Improvement and Data Analytics in the planning, development, implementation and management of the hospital-wide quality improvement program which is in compliance with The Joint Commission (TJC) and other regulatory requirements. In conjunction with the department managers and medical staff, monitors the program's effectiveness in improving the quality of patient care and services rendered. Requirements

  • Coursework/Training: Graduate of accredited School of Nursing.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
  • Upon hire: California Registered Nurse License
  • 2 years Acute Care clinical experience.

Nice To Haves

  • 5 years nursing experience in ICU and/or Emergency
  • Master's Degree in Clinical field, Graduate of a school of Nursing.
  • Coursework/Training: Green Belt Certification.
  • 2 years performance improvement or related area.
