About The Position

The QA Technicians will be key contributors to the success of the Company. This position will be instrumental in seeing that Goodheart maintains Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's) and addresses quality issues that arise from our clients.

Requirements

At least one year in manufacturing facility (prefer poultry, beef, pork industries, but will consider other food-related industries) quality control and/or assurance experience preferred.
Quality Systems experience is preferred.
Has worked in a manufacturing environment to identify and ensure progress on continuous improvement initiatives.
Solid systems understanding and ability to identify quality improvements needed.
Able to effectively interface within all levels of the organization.
Highly proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Apple/Mac experience and/or demonstrated ability to learn preferred.
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and workload effectively.
Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
Team player with a positive, helpful attitude.
Must be able to work in a facility that processes food allergens.

Responsibilities

Develop and facilitate internal audits to determine/assess compliance to company policy and regulatory requirements.
Lead development and implementation of plant GMP, Hygiene and Sanitation programs.
Help QA Director address customer complaints with root cause analysis as necessary.
Ensure effective food safety and quality training for plant team members and quality assurance staff.
Advise the Plant Management Team on quality trends within the process and recommend appropriate corrective action.
Facilitate the development of analytical methods and sampling procedures as required.
Advise the Plant Management Team on matters of quality, process instruction, formulas, specifications and protocol requirements as may be required to promote high product quality standard.
Reliable transportation to / from work.
