About The Position

The State Corporation Commission seeks a Quality Assurance (QA) Manager to join the Clerks Office, which serves as the official custodian of the judicial and administrative records of the Commission and the central filing office in Virginia for most business entities, as well as Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) financing statements. The Clerks Office processes more than 800,000 registrations and fees annually for corporations, limited liability companies, business trusts, limited partnerships, general partnerships, and limited liability partnerships. The QA Manager oversees quality assurance and testing functions for Clerks Office systems and will lead a team of four employees. This full-time position offers a hybrid work schedule, as well as training and professional development opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all system testing for the Clerks Information System (CIS) and other Clerks Office systems
  • Manage all data validation and correction for CIS
  • Conduct defect reviews with vendors and internal staff to validate details, identify priority, and plan for correction
  • Oversee the creation and maintenance of the CIS automated testing suite
  • Coordinate system updates with vendors, ITD, and Clerks Office stakeholders
  • Validate interface functionality during system testing
  • Conduct system test management according to best practices, including tracking and recording of results
  • Participate in website updates, ARMICS, and technology audits to provide subject matter expertise on Clerks systems and processes
  • Utilize reports and metrics to streamline processes and determine priorities
  • Manage, coach, develop, train, and evaluate staff
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of procedures
  • Identify and implement process improvements for Clerks Office systems and processes
  • Provide project leadership and serve as liaison for Clerks Office system projects
  • Make recommendations to senior management
  • Review, analyze, and comment on proposed legislation
  • Recommend changes to organizational structure, career ladders, and progression within the office
  • Perform related work as required
