About The Position

The Part-Time Quality Assurance Officer - RN (20 hours a week) will be responsible for the coordination, monitoring, auditing, and documentation of the requirements for designated contracts in coordination with the program director/manager and client. Will also assist in staff orientation and education related to the requirements.

Requirements

  • Current, valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Oklahoma required.
  • Must reside in state of Oklahoma.
  • Four or two year degree in nursing; at least 2 years experience with implementing QA, QI, or IQC programs or processes.
  • Demonstrated experience with coordinating, tracking, monitoring, and documenting project development and program compliance.
  • Positions working on specific contracts may require U.S. Citizenship.
  • Ability to maintain regular and predictable attendance is essential.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Medicaid and understanding of the Oklahoma Health Care Authority preferred.
  • Motivational Interviewing skills and health coaching experience preferred.
  • Experience with NCQA Standards and CMS Core Set Measures preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assists the program director/manager in the development, coordination and facilitation of the quality assurance (QA), quality improvement (QI) or internal quality control (IQC) programs for designated contracts.
  • Tracks all contract deliverables/requirements to ensure timely, accurate and complete submissions; assists management in proactive problem-solving when potential issues are identified in meeting client expectations.
  • Ensures compliance with the plan and supports all Plan Do Study Act (PDSA) or improvement efforts.
  • Facilitates development and follow through of action plans in resolving issues in collaboration with the program director/manager.
  • Assists in orientation of staff regarding contract requirements; auditing staff performance under the guidance of the program director/manager; and follow-up staff education as a result of audit findings.
  • Facilitates routine discussions and meetings with staff regarding the QA/QI/IQC activities as well as meetings with the contractor as directed.
  • Prepares correspondence, risk reports and routine updates on key performance measures and targets for designated contracts.
  • Handles telephone and written inquiries as directed.
  • Participates and supports URAC activities for designated contracts.
