About The Position
Covers QA Nurse, Staff Education, and Infection Preventionist duties. Ensures compliance with state, federal, and VA regulations, leads quality improvement initiatives, and provides staff training.
Requirements
- Current Arizona RN or LPN license
- DPS Fingerprint Clearance Card
- Infection Preventionist Certification
- In-state travel
- Valid Arizona driver’s license
- QA principles and nursing home regulations (OBRA, VA, etc.)
- Data analysis and basic statistics
- Adult education and training techniques
- Strong verbal/written communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills
Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor QA policies and procedures
- Gather and analyze data to track compliance and performance improvement
- Develop and manage QAPI plans
- Prepare and interpret reports and data summaries
- Assist in corrective action plans and monitor regulatory compliance
- Investigate non-compliance, abuse, or neglect
- Coordinate facility surveys and internal committee meetings
- Conduct infection control surveillance and map infections
- Identify training needs, develop programs, and maintain records
- Stay current with CMS, CDC, and other regulatory updates
