About The Position

Requirements

  • The objective of the Lead is to be able to communicate effectively to the people to ensure all customer specifications are being met, the line is running efficient to ensure yield and production goals are met. Must be able to effectively communicate to both employees and supervision.
  • Standing and/or walking during the entire shift.
  • Requires being able to reach, lift and push and pull
  • Work in wet, cold environment.

Responsibilities

  • Follows direction of Production Supervisor to assign and instruct personnel of daily production duties.
  • Observes equipment operation, notifying appropriate personnel of any malfunctions and/or safety issues/concerns.
  • Provide accurate and timely feedback to supervisor regarding any issues or problems that may arise during daily production.
  • Helps coordinate daily set up of equipment to ensure the line is prepared to run on time.
  • Complete required checks and measurements record accurately.
  • Assist in training and developing staff to ensure a quality product.
  • Working on Finding Yield lost or Cut Improvement with Employees.
  • Work before department start time in order to assist with area set-ups.
  • Accountable to maintain punctual and regular attendance for scheduled work hours.
  • Make sure lines and equipment are running efficiently
  • Makes sure all the proper equipment is used (scales, assigned tools, etc.)
  • Perform related duties as assigned or as the situation dictates
  • Training and motivating team members
  • Train new employees and coach existing employees
  • Follows all safety, USDA, and GMP policies and guidelines.
  • Enforce all safety and processing procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Communicate effectively and follow verbal and written instructions & policies.
  • Able to work in a team atmosphere and possess good leadership skills.
  • Must have working knowledge of all positions on the line.
