About The Position

Looking for steady work where attention to detail matters? Wieland Designs is a family-owned company since 1976 , and we’re hiring a Quality Assurance Inspector for our Topeka facility. This is a hands-on role for someone who takes pride in accuracy, problem-solving, and working with a team to build high-quality products. Schedule Monday–Friday, 5:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. (Overtime or occasional weekend work may be required based on production needs)

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong attention to detail and quality
• Ability to read a ruler (up to 1/32”) and perform basic math
• Basic computer skills
• Clear communication skills; bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
• Reliable attendance and ability to work independently
• Team-oriented mindset and willingness to adapt

Nice To Haves

• ISO 9001 or ISO 13485 experience
• 5S or Lean knowledge
• Corrective action or quality system exposure
• Sewing or upholstery experience

Responsibilities

• Inspect products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications
• Read and interpret work instructions, drawings, and job travelers
• Identify defects or process issues and communicate findings
• Maintain inspection records and documentation
• Support continuous improvement and problem-solving efforts
• Keep a clean, organized work area (5S)
• Work across departments to support production and quality
