The Quality Assurance Inspector at Amcor is responsible for managing the inspection and release of incoming materials, including color, resin, and liners, and overseeing the Certificate of Analysis (COA) and Certificate of Conformance (COC) processes. This role involves maintaining accurate computer logs and paperwork, providing timely documents to the Shipping department and customers, and reviewing supplier COAs to release or reject raw materials. The inspector also creates and supplies applicable part certificates to customers and communicates with vendors and customers to ensure data accuracy. A key aspect of the role is leading the Hold For Inspection (HFI) process, which includes managing Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) using InfinityQS, SAP, and Excel databases. The inspector continuously monitors non-conforming products, provides required reports, ensures the quality and timeliness of HFI inspections and reselection, and maintains HFI and NCR records. This position also involves communicating and delegating activities to HFI employees, providing informal and formal training and coaching. Further responsibilities include managing production PR packets by ensuring they are printed and completed on time, all labels are correctly placed, and packets are reviewed, closed, and filed, while also maintaining label inventory. The inspector is tasked with maintaining accurate SAP inventory for non-conformance products, placing and releasing them on hold in SAP. The role supports product testing as needed, performing visual, functional, and dimensional inspections of Work-In-Process and Finished Goods, interpreting Part Specifications, Quality Plans, and Blue Prints, and properly using measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, and torque meters. Additional duties include collecting information for product traceability, gathering documents for package start-up, approving labels, supplying data to Manufacturing for troubleshooting, maintaining job execution records, and supporting Quality Training Events. The inspector must also support and maintain all company policies, including ISO/BRC Standards, Health and Safety Requirements, Continuous Improvement, and standard work procedures.
