About The Position

Serve as the Communicable Disease Epidemiology Section (CDES) Point of Contact for data analysis and contribution to the Agency State Health Assessment as it relates to COVID-19 and other reportable conditions. Develop and strengthen CDES and Regional surveillance and response activities in relation to the CDC/CSTE Epidemiology Core Competencies via presenting and/or coordinating training and educational activities. Lead/Assist in creation of content to strengthening central office and regional epidemiologist staff in surveillance and analytical analysis of disease/conditions. Lead/Assist in the development of content and coordination of meetings and trainings for epidemiology staff to prepare for disease investigations and response activities. Lead/Assist in disease investigation and response activities, to include surveillance for reportable diseases and other events of public health significance. Support reportable condition surveillance activities by managing reportable condition data quality. Lead/Assist in the development of policies, guidance documents.
