The Quality Assurance Engineer at Emerson is part of a team responsible for establishing and maintaining the Quality Management System in accordance with the various Quality Assurance Manuals and all other applicable specifications.
Schedule, perform, and document internal and external audits.
Participate in customer and regulatory agency audits.
Support achievement of business performance goals through data acquisition and analysis, scrap and rework reduction, and continual process improvement.
Develop nondestructive examination procedures in accordance with applicable codes and specifications.
Review Certified Material Test Reports for chemical composition and mechanical property compliance to material standards.
Train internal personnel in QA program requirements.
Initiate and close corrective actions.
Approve disposition of nonconforming material through Material Rejection Notice process.
Prepare and deliver monthly performance reports relating to internal process quality and efficiency, supplier quality, and status of corrective actions.
Maintain quality records.
Review vendor purchase order requirements for compliance to quality and engineering specifications.
Bachelor's degree in Quality, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering; or 5-7 years of relevant work experience, or comparable combination of education and experience.
2+ years of experience in Quality Engineering, Quality Assurance, or similar.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain customer relationships.
