About The Position

Amentum is searching for a Top-Secret cleared Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team in Washington, DC. You will be working in an organization that’s mission is to accelerate operations through data and new analytical insights. The entire section leverages agile and works to provide enhanced reporting and global searching capabilities to facilitate task management, cross-utilization, and address national intelligence priorities while protecting confidential data and sources. You will be responsible for creating software test and automating test cases, performing application testing, validating bugs, and isolating issues; writing and initiating tests and then analyzing and reporting the test results in the ticketing system; and performing configuration management, change management, and release management. Work Schedule: Typically, Monday through Friday 8-hour days onsite. Flexibility within 2-week pay period to reach 80 hours. Essential Responsibilities: Responsible for creating software test and automating test cases, performing application testing, validating bugs, and isolating issues; writing and initiating tests and then analyzing and reporting the test results in the ticketing system; and performing configuration management, change management, and release management. Possesses and applies expertise on multiple complex work assignments. Assignments may be broad in nature, requiring originality and innovation in determining how to accomplish tasks. Operates with appreciable latitude in developing methodology and presenting solutions to problems. Contributes to deliverables and performance metrics where applicable.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience collectively with the following:
  • Developing and executing software testing automation suites and plans
  • Using software testing automation tools such as Selenium, Eggplant, Katalon, Postman/SOAPUI, etc.
  • Using development tools (git, integrated development environment, code quality tools, etc.)
  • Software development lifecycle processes to include Agile development
  • Leading a team in automated testing practices and development
  • Troubleshooting, diagnosing, and fixing technical, functional, and performance issues
  • Clearance Required: Active Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility
  • Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, or other related analytical, scientific, or technical discipline. In absence of degree, additional years of experience may be substituted for educational requirements
  • Minimum Years of Experience: 8
