About The Position

The Quality Assurance (QA) Document Control Specialist at Thorne is responsible for managing all aspects of document control, including the maintenance of procedures, forms, specifications, and quality records. This role ensures compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs), while actively participating in training and development programs. The specialist plays a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of quality documentation and supporting the overall mission of providing superior health solutions.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Knowledge of quality assurance principles and practices.
  • Experience with document control and quality management systems.

  • Familiarity with ERP systems and quality documentation processes.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and manage all controlled documents and quality records according to company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with QA department's SOPs and cGMPs, staying updated on changes.
  • Complete paperwork accurately and maintain attention to detail in all tasks.
  • Respond to customer service requests for Certificates of Analysis (C of A) and coordinate with QC laboratory.
  • Create and review batch packets for manufacturing, ensuring timely approval and release of product documentation.
  • Conduct quality transactions in the ERP system, ensuring all necessary documentation is included in batch order files.
  • Act as an Authorized Person to certify production batches meet regulatory requirements.
  • Implement approved changes and maintain records through the Quality Management System.
  • Coordinate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to ensure document accuracy and conduct periodic reviews.
