About The Position

The Quality Assurance Coordinator at the Bellevue Beverage Plant is responsible for ensuring compliance with food safety and quality standards. This role involves data collection, procedure development, and maintaining relationships with regulatory and plant personnel. The coordinator will perform quality audits, collect product samples, and participate in the development and implementation of new quality programs to meet corporate standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Microbiology, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in Quality Assurance and laboratory experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; ability to learn additional business-related applications.
  • HACCP/FSMA certification or willingness to become certified within 6 months of hire.
  • Excellent analytical judgment and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong analytical and technical writing skills.
  • Demonstrated time management and prioritization skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in developing quality programs such as sanitary maintenance and BRC audit gap analysis.
  • Ability to motivate and lead teams across various levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for plant Food Safety Plan reporting, including data collection and record keeping.
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with regulatory and plant personnel, focusing on relationship maintenance and improvement.
  • Perform quality audit inspections and record keeping on the plant floor.
  • Collect product samples for analysis and update the Food Safety Plan as needed.
  • Participate in the 5S program and ensure compliance with quality standard operating procedures.
  • Develop and implement new quality programs to meet corporate quality standards for all US plants.
  • Participate in regulatory audits and act as QA Supervisor in their absence.
  • Conduct microbiological analysis, including preparation and plating of samples.
  • Work flexible hours and participate in operational tasks outside of the quality role as needed.
