About The Position

The Quality Assurance (QA) Auditor Technician plays a pivotal role in maintaining PCI Group’s commitment to excellence. This position is responsible for auditing, inspecting, and documenting the internal processes within the Inserting department. The primary objective is to ensure that all products meet our stringent quality standards, and that customers receive flawless output with no variations, defects, or missing components. This role requires a keen eye for detail, a deep understanding of quality assurance principles, and the ability to work collaboratively across teams to drive continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.; a vocational or technical school diploma or certificate in a related field is preferred.
  • Proficiency in reading and writing English, with the ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
  • Required background in quality control or quality assurance.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook. Experience with report writing and preparing professional correspondence is required.
  • The candidate should have a working knowledge of report writing, preparing professional verbal and written correspondences and email.
  • Strong computer skills, including the ability to navigate production software, understand workflow processes, and accurately interpret job tickets.

Responsibilities

  • Perform audits and visual inspections to ensure printed and inserted materials meet quality and customer specifications.
  • Review job tickets and verify materials, taglines, and sequence numbers for accuracy.
  • Respond to machine quality lights for live divert checks and approve first pieces before full production.
  • Stop production and document any quality defects such as blurry print, missing inserts, or damaged materials.
  • Tag non-conforming products with red HOLD forms and notify appropriate personnel for segregation and review.
  • Complete and follow up on Corrective Action Reports (CARS) and assist with internal and external audit readiness.
  • Verify and record hand-stuff and damage values accurately on QA sheets.
  • Ensure all diverted packages are tracked and reported on Reconciliation Reports.
  • Report quality issues, discrepancies, or procedural gaps to the Quality Assurance Manager or other management.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as directed by the Quality Assurance Manager.
