About The Position
The Quality Assurance Auditor at Mesa Airlines plays a crucial role in ensuring that all maintenance and fuel-related services performed on the company's aircraft adhere strictly to established company policies and procedures. This position involves conducting thorough audits of contract agencies and vendors responsible for the repair, overhaul, or maintenance of the company's aircraft, engines, appliances, or components. The auditor is tasked with ensuring compliance with the company's General Procedures Manual, which outlines the standards and practices that must be followed. In addition to performing initial audits, the Quality Assurance Auditor is responsible for conducting follow-up audits to verify that any issues identified during vendor audits are addressed and resolved within the timeframes specified in the company's guidelines. Maintaining accurate records of audits and findings is essential for documenting compliance and ensuring that all maintenance activities meet the required standards. The auditor will also perform a self-audit checklist, which includes auditing all locations as specified in the company's General Procedures Manual at least once a year. This role may involve additional duties as assigned by the Manager of the Continuous Airworthiness Surveillance System (CASS) and may include tasks outlined in the CASS/Reliability section of the manual. Furthermore, the auditor is responsible for maintaining an up-to-date list of contract and on-call maintenance vendors, including their approved drug programs, and conducting fuel audits as necessary to ensure compliance with applicable standards.
