Duties & Responsibilities Conduct internal and external audits of assigned stations, vendors, and subcontractors, documenting results and identifying hazards, risks, and nonconformities. Monitor compliance with Repair Station policies and procedures, the Safety Management System (SMS), and training program requirements using approved audit matrices and checklists. Identify systemic issues and procedural deficiencies and report findings to management. Perform scheduled and unscheduled vendor and subcontractor audits to verify compliance with company requirements and applicable Federal Aviation Regulations. Conduct investigations into maintenance errors, quality escapes, and other quality-related events. Initiate, coordinate, and support Corrective Action Plans (CAPs), including root cause analysis and verification that corrective actions adequately address identified issues. Review CAP responses to ensure root causes are addressed and corrective actions are effective. Perform random surveillance of line maintenance and service checks to verify proper procedures, documentation, and paperwork usage. Audit maintenance work packages to confirm all assigned work has been properly completed, inspected, and documented. Research, retrieve, and interpret technical data, including drawings and maintenance documentation, as required. Maintain accurate and complete audit, surveillance, and investigation records. Support maintenance of the Repair Station Approved Vendor List. Promote a culture in which quality, safety, and regulatory compliance are shared responsibilities. Requirements

  • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in a CFR Part 145 Repair Station or Part 121 air carrier maintenance, quality assurance, or inspection environment.
  • Working knowledge of FAA regulations, including 14 CFR Parts 43, 145, and 121.
  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certificate with no history of enforcement actions.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • U.S. citizenship or permanent resident status
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally across all organizational levels, customers, and vendors.
  • Effective analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • High attention to detail in a fast-paced, operational environment.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Ability to work in production and aircraft maintenance environments, including under adverse conditions.
  • Willingness to work irregular schedules as operational needs require.

Nice To Haves

  • Two (2) or more years of internal auditing experience within the aviation industry.
  • Degree in Aerospace, Aviation Maintenance, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Knowledge of Safety Management Systems (SMS) and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) methodologies.
