About The Position
The Quality Assurance Associate position at Land O'Lakes Inc. is an entry to intermediate level role primarily focused on supporting the Director and/or Senior Quality Manager. The main objective of this position is to ensure compliance with quality, regulatory, and product safety systems within a manufacturing environment. The associate will provide targeted support, problem-solving, and training solutions to the assigned location and teams, specifically aimed at resolving quality issues. This role is heavily centered on gaining a comprehensive understanding of the pre-mix environment, implementing preventative quality systems, and identifying opportunities for improvement. In this role, the Quality Assurance Associate will spend a significant amount of time collaborating with the Director and/or Senior Quality Manager to ensure the effective implementation of product safety and quality systems. This includes maintaining ingredient approval, conducting training, assessments, and ensuring compliance with established standards. The associate will also proactively manage and resolve product safety and regulatory issues in collaboration with the head office quality team and regulatory affairs, ensuring that root causes are identified and preventative actions are taken. Follow-up on claims and complaints will also be a critical part of this responsibility. Additionally, the associate will develop a working knowledge of pre-mix Quality Control systems, processes, and procedures as they relate to plant manufacturing. They will act as a champion for product safety and quality, monitoring and reporting on trends to alert the Director and/or Senior Quality Manager. The role will also involve leading assigned projects focused on critical process monitoring and capability, working closely with operations, QA/QC, and plants to establish new product/process measurements and preventative controls at the source. Lastly, the associate may be required to back up the divisional formulator and create formulations using Brill software as needed.
