About The Position
As a Quality Assurance and Food Safety Supervisor at Bento, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the consistent quality of production and plant sanitation. This position is based at our Texas Food Factory located in Garland, TX, where you will work Monday to Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with occasional weekend work required. Your primary responsibility will be to develop and enforce above-standard manufacturing practices that align with company policies and regulatory compliance. You will act as a HACCP leader, ensuring that the HACCP program and prerequisite programs are up-to-date and fully implemented in production. In this role, you will provide leadership and direction to the plant QA team, focusing on training, coaching, and developing QA technicians. This includes identifying training needs, providing opportunities for personal growth, assessing performance goals, and managing absenteeism. You will also assist in disciplinary actions when necessary. Your leadership will be essential during audits, and you will maintain records of finished product specifications, SOPs, SSOPs, and QA forms. Additionally, you will create training materials to support GMP, HACCP, and sanitation programs, ensuring that all employees complete their training on quality, regulatory, and food safety principles. You will be responsible for reviewing plant issues, resolving problems, and following up on customer and supplier complaints with corrective actions and preventive measures. Collaborating with Plant Operations, you will implement quality enhancement processes and procedures to achieve process improvements and cost savings. You will also manage direct reports, oversee facility sanitation, and review internal and external testing results for raw materials and finished products. This position requires a strong commitment to quality assurance and the ability to work well in a team environment, ensuring that all quality assurance matters are handled with discipline and accountability.
