About The Position

The Quality Assurance and Compliance Officer is responsible for developing and coordinating the Corporate Compliance, Quality Assurance, Utilization/Review, and Risk Management processes for PMHCC-CU, Inc. This role ensures that all programs comply with agency policies, applicable laws, and regulations, and involves conducting audits, preparing reports, and providing training to staff.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in social, human, or life sciences.
  • Two years of experience in Quality Assurance and Compliance in Behavioral Health services or five years in case management and supervision.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Access).
  • Valid driver's license and access to a working vehicle.

Responsibilities

  • Update CU's Corporate Compliance Plan annually for review and approval.
  • Lead preparation for ACT/BE/BHID MAC Licensure reviews and audits.
  • Complete forms and documentation for compliance with Federal, State, and Behavioral Health regulations.
  • Conduct Annual Performance Improvement and Program Evaluation for ACT, BE, and BHID.
  • Evaluate data to identify potential liability problems and noncompliance issues.
  • Provide orientation to new staff on compliance policies and procedures.
  • Investigate compliance infractions and present reports with recommendations for corrective actions.
  • Draft and review Policies and Procedures in consultation with service managers.
  • Coordinate with HR to ensure proper registration of CU psychiatrists in the National Practitioner Data Bank.
  • Chair Quarterly Open Forum and prepare agendas for meetings.
  • Coordinate monthly audits of service documentation and analyze data for compliance.
  • Review Consumer Satisfaction Reports and respond to complaints in collaboration with Program Directors.
  • Conduct monthly staff surveys and analyze response data for trends.
  • Provide New Employee Orientation and monthly training for staff development.
  • Monitor and track performance evaluations for CU staff.
  • Receive and maintain files for all incident reports and investigate significant incidents.
