About The Position

Under the direction of the Fabrication Supervisor, the Welder works from customer drawings, fabricate and weld components to produce the highest quality products, while meeting departmental performance standards, customer specifications and delivery requirements, in accordance with company policies and procedures. Key Task: Insure that all products meet internal, customer and standard’s specifications. Description/function: Working with the production team to collect and document all quality control data to insure product quality.

Requirements

  • Ability to work both independently and in a group
  • Manufacturing environment experience
  • Ability to communicate both verbally and written with co-workers
  • Microsoft Office Experience (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Access)
  • Effective problem solving and organizational skills

Nice To Haves

  • Quality control and ISO 9001 experience is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with production to assure materials and products meet quality requirements for established specifications.
  • Collect and document data on quality control documents.
  • Accurately and carefully follow all quality procedures to meet internal, customer and standard’s specifications for achieving consistent quality and uniform product conformity.
  • Maintain and assist with ISO 9001 certification duties.
  • Be prepared to adapt to continuous improvement of changes or modifications as required to reach department and company goals.
  • Taking the lead and initiative on position responsibilities and assigned projects.
  • Assist Quality Manager with daily communication of the production issues / concerns.
  • Assist Quality and Production Management with recommendations to achieve product quality.
  • Practice safe work practices with maintaining good housekeeping and PPE.
  • Other duties as assigned.
