Our technologists are conducting the widest array of testing in this fast-paced, high-volume environment. Here, you will gain more experience with analysis not being performed anywhere else, including rare opportunities with antibody identification and immunohematology problems. Combined with the stem cell capabilities of our Cellular Therapy department, we offer unlimited opportunities to advance your expertise. This Quality and Information Specialist at NewYork-Presbyterian Weill Cornell Medical Center manages all quality and regulatory affairs from Cellular Therapy. The lab is regulated by NYS & FDA and accredited by CAP and FACT. As a Quality and Information Specialist you will be responsible for ensuring the performance, integrity and reliability of the SafeTrace laboratory information system. As a subject matter expert, you'll provide technical assistance and leadership in implanting and supporting information systems and other related technologies to satisfy the needs of the department, while also ensuring that data and documentation systems are consistent with the SOP's. Prepare reports of Quality Monitors and assigned projects as requested. This is a day shift position working Monday – Friday. Location is our Weill-Cornell campus on Manhattan’s Upper East Side. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in related field
  • Minimum 4 years of clinical laboratory experience (or 2 years of clinical laboratory experience with a Master’s degree)
  • Strong administration, written & verbal communication skills and thorough knowledge of data information systems
  • Advanced computer proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Highly organized and strong interpersonal & presentation skills

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Cellular Therapy and Quality Monitors relevant to the regulatory accrediting agencies
  • Master's degree
  • ASCP certification
  • New York State Clinical Laboratory Technologist licensure from the New York State Education department
