As a Quality and Food Safety Technician at the Hershey Company Robinson plant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the highest standards of food safety and sanitation. This non-union facility produces a variety of beloved products, including PayDay, Heath, Skor, Milk Duds, Whoppers, and Reese's Pieces. Your primary responsibilities will include routine cleaning related to product quality and safety, performing swabbing for the plant's Environmental Monitoring and Microbial Management Program (EMMP), and ensuring compliance with food safety standards. You will also be responsible for completing daily production paperwork and supporting operations and engineering teams with cleaning practices. In this role, you will engage in quality system audit activities, operate and troubleshoot complex cleaning equipment, and participate in training to enhance your knowledge of sanitary practices and chemical handling. The position requires flexibility in working hours, as you will be assigned to a Dupont schedule, which involves a rotation of 2-2-3 days on/off, with 12-hour shifts from 6 PM to 6 AM. You will also need to be available for weekends, overtime, and holidays as required by plant needs. Your work environment will be within a manufacturing facility, where you will be required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and adhere to safety protocols. The role demands physical activity, including lifting up to 50 lbs and performing various tasks that involve standing, reaching, and using hands repetitively.
