About The Position

Job Description : - Inspect/validate mechanical, structural, electrical and avionics assembly design, manufacture and installations for accelerated Modifications on multiple weapon system types. - Conduct AS9100 Rev D Audits to assess project adherence to customer Task Order PWS and LMCO Command Media as well as interface with external auditing agencies - Interface with Registrar during third party AS9100 Rev D certification /surveillance visit. - Assist with Generating Corrective Actions / Preventive Actions and completing Root Cause Analysis. - Assist with compiling and generating metrics/trending data for Corrective Action Board (CAB) board. - Assist with developing inspection procedures and guidelines to ensure compliance with quality standards and applicable government policies. - Assist with sustainment of aviation procedures guide site specific supplement per DCMA INST 8210.1. - Assist with the remedial and corrective actions for all non-conformances identified during government surveillance providing corrective and preventive action plans. - Coordinate acceptance inspections and associated documentation verifying all work accomplished in accordance with Technical Data, Time Compliance Tech Orders (TCTO) and that specifications are met so that product is ready for delivery. - Monitor / screen aircraft maintenance (AFTO 781 series) forms documentation entries and Integrated Maintenance Data System (IMDS) for accuracy and completeness. - Monitor Foreign Object Damage / Debris program (FOD) awareness / control /critical areas. - Perform Safety of flight inspections for Red X conditions and In-Process Inspections (IPI). - Participate in validation of aircraft systems operational checks /maintenance operations. - Assist with investigating aircraft incidents / lost tools / customer complaints and issue Corrective Action Requests. - Generate and review condition tags for Non-Conforming Product. - Research, assist, validate and submit USAF Form 22 submissions for Tech Data (Job Guide) changes. - Perform personnel over-the-shoulder evaluations. - Directly Interface with Customer, DCMA, QAE, QAS, and GFR - Perform QCV and pre-closure inspections. - Participate with In-Process Team (IPT's)/Configuration Control Boards (CCB's). - Conduct Process / Product / Special / Tool and FOD audits to assess project adherence to company Command Media, industry standards, and AS9100 Quality Management System (QMS). - Investigate aircraft incidents, customer complaints, issue Corrective Action Requests (CAR) and follow-up. - Recommend process improvement initiatives. Requirements

  • Aircraft structural modification, repair and or inspection experience.
  • Read / interpret engineering drawings and use relevant avionics / electrical system test measurement and calibrated tools.
  • Possess excellent verbal, written communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with management and customers, regarding quality issues and concerns.
  • Understand Microsoft Office applications to include Email, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint as a minimum.
  • Understand SAP and Q-Note dispositions
  • Willing to work second, third shifts and weekends as required.
  • Willing to travel as required.
  • MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN – This position is located at a facility that requires special access and is in direct support of a U.S. government contract that requires a company-sponsored clearance to start.

Nice To Haves

  • Three (3) years of experience with heavy structural modification, and or repair operations or equivalent.
  • One (1) year of experience as a Collateral Duty inspector (CDI), Quality Control Designee (QCD) or Quality Inspector.
  • Knowledge of DCMA Instruction 8210.1C
  • AS9100/ISO9001 trained auditor.
  • Weight and Balance certification is a plus.
