About The Position

Cadmus is seeking a Qualitative Research Manager to join its Market Research and Customer Insights team. This role involves managing and conducting primary and secondary research for energy clients, particularly in the areas of energy efficiency and program evaluation. The successful candidate will oversee project tasks, execute market research, and create comprehensive reports on findings, contributing to the design and improvement of energy programs.

Requirements

  • 5-7 years of experience managing or supporting research or evaluation projects that include both qualitative and quantitative techniques
  • Undergraduate or graduate degree in business, the social sciences, economics, or a related field; a master's degree may substitute for 2 years of professional experience
  • Industry experience in energy efficiency, utilities, program evaluation
  • Experience designing and conducting social science research, including interviews, surveys, focus groups, and/or literature reviews
  • Strong critical thinking and analytical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel

Nice To Haves

  • Prior consulting or client-oriented work experience
  • Experience leading discrete tasks and full projects, specifically research projects
  • Business development (including proposal management and response) experience
  • Experience using research platforms (e.g. Qualtrics, FocusVision, DeDoose, etc.)
  • Demonstrated analytical skills using statistical and analytical tools (e.g., Python, SAS, R, Excel)

Responsibilities

  • Support and lead market research, program planning, and evaluation tasks
  • Support project management activities including budget tracking, invoicing, project planning, and resource management
  • Develop high-quality data collection instruments, including interview guides and surveys
  • Conduct phone interviews and manage online surveys with utility program staff, program participants, contractors, and other market actors
  • Analyze program, survey, interview, and other data to identify trends, synthesize research findings, draw conclusions, and develop actionable recommendations for client consideration
  • Actively and professionally communicate and coordinate with project teams, managers and clients, in varying time zones; provide clear and consistent communications (oral and written) on projects and tasks and raise any concerns or issues
  • Develop clear, detailed reports and presentations of results, findings, methodologies, data sources, and actionable recommendations
  • Ensure all deliverables meet Cadmus' standards and exceed client expectations
