About The Position
Grand Canyon Education (GCE) is a rapidly growing educational service company that provides educational, operational, and technological support services to the post-secondary education sector. Formerly part of Grand Canyon University (GCU), GCE still works closely with GCU to benefit thousands of students, families, and the local inner-city community. GCE focuses on putting people first, driving innovation, and doing good in the community. The Qualifying Specialist role is the first point of contact for prospective student inquiries regarding their interest in achieving a college education, working for the enrollment department.
Requirements
- A passion for assisting others in realizing their goals through higher education
- High level of integrity and commitment to compliance with regulatory rules.
- Enjoys a fast-paced, dynamic work environment
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong computer skills with the ability to toggle between multiple software programs.
- Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement, and Mission of Grand Canyon University.
Responsibilities
- Respond to prospective new student inquiries via outbound phone calls.
- Discuss prospective students’ background, goals, and objectives to determine fit with GCU’s academic programs.
- Forward qualified student inquiries to enrollment counselor depending on the area of interest.
- Demonstrate effective interpersonal skills during all transactions.
