About The Position

The Child and Adolescent Day Treatment Specialist at Coastal Horizons Center is responsible for providing therapeutic interventions to youth and their families in school and community settings. The role aims to reduce symptoms, improve behavioral functioning, and enhance the ability of individuals to cope and relate to others, ultimately promoting recovery and supporting educational success.

Requirements

• Completion of Bachelor's Degree in a Human Service field.
• 2 years of post-Bachelor's experience with the Mental Health population.
• Meets requirements under 10A NCAC 27G.0104 as a Qualified Professional for Mental Health.
• Minimum of two (2) years documented experience with children, adolescents, and families.

Responsibilities

• Perform therapeutic interventions in school and community settings.
• Work with identified youth and their families to reduce symptoms and improve behavioral functioning.
• Increase the individual's ability to cope with and relate to others.
• Promote recovery and enhance the beneficiary's capacity to function in an educational setting.
• Support maintenance in community-based services.
