About The Position

The Qualified Intellectual Disability Professional (Health Professional V) is responsible for planning, developing, and coordinating comprehensive services for individuals with intellectual disabilities at the Grand Junction Regional Center. This role includes safeguarding and advocating for the rights, safety, and quality of life of residents, while ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. The QIDP supervises staff, coordinates interdisciplinary team efforts, and monitors the implementation of individual program plans to promote independence and quality care.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as human behavior, human skill development, or education.
  • Four years of professional experience with IDD and dually diagnosed individuals, including progressive management experience.
  • Must possess or be able to obtain QMAP training or LPT licensure within six months of employment.

  • Effective communication skills and ability to prioritize and organize work.
  • Advanced skills in using Google Suite and proficiency with electronic health records.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, develop, and coordinate comprehensive services for individuals with intellectual disabilities.
  • Safeguard and advocate for the rights, safety, and quality of life of residents.
  • Supervise 3-4 staff directly and oversee 20-35 direct care staff as a second-level supervisor.
  • Facilitate the Interdisciplinary Team process to develop Individual Program Plans (IP).
  • Conduct routine monitoring and regular audits of each individual's program.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance with state and federal mandates.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and training to team members on ICF-IDD and Waiver-HCBS.
