QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Valid Texas Teaching Certificate with appropriate special education certification JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. To function under the direct supervision of the Director of Special Education and Principal of DAEP/ABU. 2. To provide instruction to students with disabilities which promotes students' academic performance in all content areas by facilitating their achievement in a variety of settings and situations 3. To adhere to legal and ethical requirements of special education 4. To plan and implement appropriate instruction for students with behavioral disabilities and manage the teaching/learning environment 5. To collaborate effectively in IEP Team meetings and in communication with parents 6. To provide in a timely manner all necessary written documentation, IEPs, BIPs, and other paperwork necessary to meet federal, state, and local requirements 7.
