About The Position

The Restaurant Shift Lead directly supervises the operations of a shift in a restaurant. This position coordinates the work of team members assigned to the shift and maintains the Company and Brand operational standards ensuring all guests leave satisfied. The Restaurant Shift Lead is expected to provide excellent guest service in a fast and friendly manner and coach team members to do the same. They are responsible for maintaining a clean restaurant environment, assigning shift duties to team members, and ensuring all food items are prepared and served in accordance with all Brand, Company, and health department regulations. The role also involves monitoring cash, sales, and inventory control records, completing end of shift paperwork, and ensuring a safe environment for team members and guests.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise the operations of a shift in the restaurant.
  • Coordinate the work of team members assigned to the shift.
  • Provide excellent guest service and coach team members.
  • Maintain a clean restaurant environment.
  • Assign shift duties to team members and follow up to ensure completion.
  • Direct team and ensure food items are prepared and served according to regulations.
  • Monitor and ensure accuracy of cash, sales, and inventory control records.
  • Complete end of shift and end of day paperwork.
  • Communicate discrepancies to immediate supervisor.
  • Guarantee a safe environment for team members and guests.
  • Complete reports on incidents following the 5-minute rule policy.
