About The Position

The QMS Specialist is responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and continuously improving the Quality Management System to ensure that the Company adheres to applicable company, customer, and/or government/international specifications and standards.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in a quality management system position within strict framework of quality procedures and processes, preferably in the aerospace industry
  • Highly experienced with process and procedural compliance to AS9100
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, blueprints, and procedure manuals
  • Proficient in MS Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Project
  • Strong troubleshooting aptitude and inquisitive nature
  • Experience advocating as the "voice of the customer" demanding the highest quality expectations from the organization
  • Have working knowledge metrology equipment
  • Understanding of CNC machines and shop repair techniques, welding, bushings, assembly
  • Has working knowledge of customer and industry standards and specifications
  • Demonstrates a high attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent planning skills
  • Self-starter and highly motivated
  • Demonstrated written/verbal communication skills and technical writing
  • Manages time effectively and dependable
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22.C.F.R. § is required

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and report company objectives and goals related to Quality Management System
  • Evaluate data and report metrics pertaining to company performance
  • Maintains calibration, maintenance, and documentation of measurement equipment used to measure customer project products
  • Support Customer and Third-Party audit visits and arising actions and responses
  • Manage QMS system, KPIs, operational compliance, and continuous improvement
  • Assist with Root Cause and Corrective Action investigations
  • Ensure that working practices in relation to Health, Safety and Housekeeping are adhered to
  • Assist with training activities and training system adherence
  • Create and modify documentation/manage records
  • Any additional duties as reasonably assigned by management
