About The Position
Avenues Recovery Center is a nationwide network of drug and alcohol rehab centers with eighteen locations across seven states. Offering the very highest standard of medical and clinical treatment, our services span every level of care - including detox, residential, PHP IOP, and outpatient services. Avenues is both JCAHO and CARF accredited, and in full compliance with all ASAM standards. The company is hiring QMAs for their Detox and Residential treatment facility, located in Indianapolis, IN. They are looking for compassionate professionals who appreciate stimulating yet meaningful work to join their team.
Requirements
- High School diploma/ GED
- Valid licensure to serve as a Medical Assistant in this state-QMA
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Collaborative, multitasking, and time-management skills
- Knowledge of substance use and its bio-psychosocial consequences
- If in recovery, a minimum one-year period of sustained sobriety is required
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor's degree preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide quality, timely medical care to stabilize clients and enable them to engage fully in treatment
- Assist with all nursing shift duties (vitals, drug screens, medication management, charting and reporting etc.)
- Collaborate with extended medical and clinical teams for seamless coordination of care
- Manage, order and res-stock all medical supplies as necessary
- Schedule medical appointments and arrange aftercare providers for post-discharge
- Assist with all pharmacy needs and prescription authorizations
