About the position

The Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional (QIDP) at Services for the Underserved (SUS) is responsible for coordinating care for residents with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This role ensures that active treatment is provided in compliance with OPWDD regulations, focusing on the least restrictive environment for individuals. The QIDP will conduct assessments, prepare reports, and facilitate communication among clinical team members, families, and other stakeholders to enhance the quality of care and support for residents.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and conduct Annual and Semi-Annual reviews of consumer status/progress including an assessment of risks to consumer's rights and protection.
  • Ensure completion and receipt of individual clinical team members' reports/meetings evaluations.
  • Prepare annual CFA's and summaries which includes a capabilities needs assessment, priority of needs and a summary of clinical reports, activities schedules and consumer profiles.
  • Ensure the least restrictive interventions or practices are utilized.
  • Present individuals identified as having practices, interventions and or adaptive equipment that may pose a risk to consumer's rights to the Human Rights Committee for review and approval.
  • Observe Program Specialist conduct goals active treatment and provide hands-on training as needed or prescribed by facilities' Plan Of Corrective Action (POCA).
  • Provide staff with in-service training ongoing.
  • Ensure integration of services between Day Program and the residence and integration of all services into routine daily activities.
  • Complete CSET schedule annually and update as needed, ensuring CSET training is provided and reported on by clinicians as needed.
  • Complete Quality Improvement reports as needed and ensure resolution to any outstanding issues.
  • Maintain communication with family/correspondent regarding residential programming in conjunction with Social Worker.

Requirements

  • QIDP Certification
  • Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Human Services, or a related field
  • 2-5 years of experience within a Day Hab or Residential program
  • Experience with Day Habilitation plans and Medicaid billing
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional written and oral communication skills
