About The Position

Requirements

• Knowledge of laboratory safety procedures and practices.
• Demonstrated organizational and decision-making abilities.

• Experience with embedded systems and electronics circuit design.
• Ability to work collaboratively and lead others.

Responsibilities

• Manage shop operations and staffing during open hours.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for questions and concerns.
• Provide expert technical advice and mentorship in areas such as 3D printing, laser cutting, and welding.
• Supervise undergraduate staff and volunteers, and conduct safety training.
• Create educational and promotional content for the makerspace.
• Support the operational needs of the makerspace, including financial management.
