Location/Division Specific Information Grand Island, NY How will you make an impact? You will be the QC Technician II working on the Environmental Monitoring team within the Quality Control Laboratory and supporting additional teams as needed. In this role you will help collect samples and monitor the environment throughout the cGMP manufacturing facility. You will also perform daily testing of samples to ensure they meet regulatory requirements following established methods and SOPs in accordance to cGMPs. We are seeking a self-motivated individual with strong communication and operational skills to coordinate and execute testing processes as defined in standard operating procedures with limited supervision or guidance. Candidate must be able to work independently, as well as on teams within the Microbiology and Environmental Quality Control Laboratories.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred or High school diploma or GED required with 1-2 years of cleanroom experience in a cGMP environment.
  • Experience (2+ years) in MS Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Proficient oral and written communication skills are required to be effective in this role
  • Strong people skills, team focused.
  • Strong written, verbal, and organizational skills, and the ability to work independently.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks as necessary
  • Individual should be comfortable working in a cGMP cleanroom environment for extended periods of time.

Responsibilities

  • Performs quality control testing and environmental monitoring while adhering to cGMP's, SOP's, and all safety regulations as they apply to the laboratory.
  • Collect water samples from throughout the facility and analyze samples for TOC, conductivity, and bioburden
  • Support environmental monitoring including contact plating, viable and non-viable air sampling, and media fill validations
  • Demonstrate judgment, tact and diplomacy; in dealing with internal and external customers.
  • Additional tasks as assigned by Supervisor or equivalent leadership.
