Sensient is expanding and growing! We are adding an additional QC Technician II to our team (Wed, Thur, Fri. 5a - 5pm and every other Sat 5am - 5pm). In this role you will have a strong customer focus and possess a strong working knowledge of wet chemistry techniques, instrumentation, and analysis skills. This exciting role is responsible for conducting analytical testing, developing new test methods, and interpreting test results.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Higher education in a Technical Degree with a strong Analytical Chemistry background
• 5-years of experience working in a high throughput quality control lab
• A strong background in analytical instrumentation and analysis including, but not limited to, ICP, HPLC, and GC/MS
• Prior experience working in a third-party testing lab strongly preferred
• Experience preparing reports, managing lab projects, and working with small to mid-size teams

Responsibilities

• Independently manage the analysis of samples and data ensuring on time delivery of results
• Operate and maintain ICP, HPLC, GC/MS and various lab instrumentation using accepted GLP and GMP procedures
• Work with service engineers to perform routine maintenance to minimize instrument down time
• Evaluate new test methods to bring inhouse and routinely review current methods and recommend areas for improvements
• Participate in formal Root Cause Analysis and implement Corrective Actions
• Effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing, lab data and results to other departments
• Work in interdepartmental teams and with affiliate sites to provide high quality products and service to our customers
