The QC Technician will coordinate the collection of random samples from production batches/lots. Perform a wide variety of complex testing processes to measure product's physical characteristics. Use highly sophisticated and precise testing instruments. Following established procedures and guidelines, test and conduct routine and non-routine analysis of raw materials, in-process, and finished product, using a variety of testing devices and procedures to maintain product quality.

  • Must follow all established safety rules and procedures
  • Must demonstrate integrity while performing duties as per company's Code of Conduct
  • Perform a wide variety of complex testing processes on production batches to measure product's physical or chemical characteristics
  • Maintain and calibrate test equipment
  • Maintain records and charts for all products that are checked by the individual
  • Record and report observations or test results in the appropriate QC card or file
  • Work with the QC manager, production staff, and development staff to evaluate production or field related problems
  • Help identify potential causes of complaints
  • Actively engaged in 5S activities
  • Helps sustain and improve organization in work areas
  • Perform area housekeeping responsibilities
  • Evaluate test methods for repeatability
  • Assist in calibration plans
  • Assist in developing training curriculum
  • Assist in developing standard operating procedures (SOP's)
  • Participate and aid in root cause investigations
  • Bachelor's degree in chemistry or science or associates degree or 1+ year manufacturing or laboratory experience
  • Microsoft Office skills required (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Excel skill level intermediate to advanced
  • Knowledge of chemical composition, structure, reactions as it applies to production techniques
  • Near vision- ability to read labels and see details up close with or without corrective lenses
  • Ability to read, comprehend and follow safety instructions and safety guidelines
  • Must be able to score a 32 or lower on a Farnsworth-Munsell 100 Hue Color test
  • Must have effective interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to multi-task and balance priorities
  • Dedicated and committed safety leadership and presence
  • Ability to work in a heavy manufacturing environment with exposure to chemical agents
  • Must be able to stand or walk for long periods of time
  • Operation and control- Ability to use equipment to perform duties of job safely and effectively
  • Mathematics- Knowledge of basic math including adding, subtracting, multiplication, division, fractions and measurements
  • Operation Monitoring- Ability to watch gauges, dials, or display screens to ensure proper operation of equipment
  • Problem solving and critical thinking acumen- noticing a problem and giving input on how to solve it or identify root cause
  • Hourly Pay: 24.00 hour with shift difference for (A/B Swing Shift)
  • Swing Shift Schedule - (You must be able to work swing shift! No exceptions)
