About The Position

Quality Supervisor will assist the Quality Manager or equivalent manager in day-to-day operations that include leading the Quality Control (QC) inspectors, develop, improve, and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) and the QC manual and assist in preparing for and responding to all outside audits. This position is expected to be carried out in a professional, courteous, and non-bias manner, with a “Team” approach. The Supervisor will be expected to help troubleshoot any issues related to QC floor operations, help with resolving drawing issues, interpret the drawings and any changes or updates that are made and make that knowledge available to QC leads. Work with Production leads in giving support to any QC issues. The Supervisor is not part of the production personnel and therefore has a separate reporting structure from Production and shall not perform any production-related work. This is a salaried position and part of the QC leadership team.

Requirements

Able to operate Microsoft suite products such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook programs, etc.

Nice To Haves

Basic dashboarding and data analysis and AI fluency a plus.

Responsibilities

Work with Quality Manager to identify quality issues and help ensure the highest quality product.
Work professionally with area leads, production personnel, weld technicians (including robots), and all others to report, address, and document quality issues and concerns.
Read and understand production details and spool sheets.
Attend any training or meetings that will help in job functions (roles and responsibilities).
Aid in training new and existing employees and help them grow in their positions.
Assist QC inspectors in managing and maintaining production flow.
Document review, control and improvement as it pertains to the floor sheets and QC manual.
Help improve designing efficient details and design improvements.
Create a positive, respectful, and productive team atmosphere.
Participate in QC leadership training and functions
Help QC Manager and inspectors maintain and provide a clean and organized work environment.
Dress appropriately for the job you are hired for. (Including all safety requirements when you are on the shop floor).
Actively promote a safe work environment throughout the shop.
Able to operate Microsoft suite products such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook programs, etc.
Assist in managing the Corrective Action / Preventive Action system
Assist in administration of ACC Build
Assist in maintaining an updating the QC manual as changes are made. (Including forms, document changes, and any verbiage that needs changed). This includes IAPMO and ICC reports.
Work with 3rd party inspectors when they are required at the shop.
Work with city and county representatives of 3rd party auditing companies.
Assist in preparing for all audits of the shop and of the QC manual.
Work closely with QC Manger to keep him/her informed of all changes and updates that happen throughout the day.
