About The Position

The PDC Quality Control Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all quality control functions. This role ensures that inbound and outbound processes meet company standards for accuracy, quality, safety, and efficiency while supervising and developing a team of QC team members. The Supervisor plays a key role in driving operational excellence through leadership, process improvement, and team member training.

Requirements

  • Minimum 4 years of warehouse or distribution center experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role in quality control or logistics.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory control, quality assurance procedures, loss prevention, and food safety compliance.
  • Work collaboratively with multiple departments to ensure alignment and efficiency to drive continuous improvement.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office, warehouse management systems (WMS), and data reporting tools.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s degree in business management preferred; equivalent professional experience considered.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the daily activities of the Quality Control Department to ensure all procedures are being performed and shipping lanes are audited prior to manifesting outbound club loads.
  • Provide guidance to Quality Control team concerning staffing levels to achieve a steady flow of merchandise.
  • Oversee efficient and timely research and recovery efforts on all inventory and shipping discrepancies.
  • Document errors to be used for retraining team members to ensure accuracy and quality.
  • Investigate product or inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions, including retraining of staff.
  • Document findings of credits on the Finance Document Log based on inventory adjustments from investigative results.
  • Monitor and report all safety incidents and support continuous improvement of safety protocols.
  • Ensure compliance with USDA regulations and internal quality standards for perishable and frozen goods.
  • Report product handling observations found during the QC observation and auditing process to warehouse operations and inventory control.
  • Plan and direct daily staffing for efficient merchandise flow, storage, and shipping accuracy.
  • Collaborate with your manager to provide direction, support, and performance management for QC team members, Produce Inspection team members, and clerical associates.
  • In coordination with your manager, conduct scheduled performance reviews, provide promotion recommendations, and engage in hiring, disciplinary, and termination procedures.
  • Train new and existing team members on quality control procedures, safety policies, and best practices.
  • Deliver weekly audit and inspection reports to your manager, highlighting key findings and corrective actions to support continuous improvements efforts.
