Position Summary The primary focus of the Quality Control (QC) Micro Specialist, role will be to perform GMP testing to support product release, in-process testing and transfer/validation activities. This role will also provide technical support and method troubleshooting for microbiological tests. Responsibilities will also include projects, deviations/investigations/CAPA, and continuous improvement efforts.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of regulated industry experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Demonstrated experience in microbiological techniques with a focus on Microbial Identification (e.g. Maldi-TOF, environmental monitoring, growth promotion and aseptic technique)
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent required, preferably in science

Responsibilities

• Ability to understand, follow, interpret and apply Global Regulatory and cGMP requirements accurately and completely.
• Perform Microbial Identifications of environmentally isolated organisms using Maldi-TOF technology.
• Knowledge of LIMS, ELN and laboratory data analysis systems preferred.
• Problem-solving ability/mentality, technically adept and logical.
• Ability to communicate effectively with peers, department management and cross-functional peers.
• Experience with writing technical documents preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment, meet deadlines, and prioritize work.
• May perform testing for method transfer/ validations/verifications.
• Perform data verification, data review and review of GMP documentation for general methods.
• May perform document revisions, projects, corrective and preventative actions (CAPAs) and deviation/ investigation related tasks and/ or continuous improvement efforts
