The QC Lab Technician supports quality control efforts and performs analytical tests in accordance with approved methods in a Quality Control environment adhering to strict GMP guidelines. Generates data after following approved test methods and records/reports results as required, making sure to follow Part 11 and data integrity policies. Performs tasks and works on other projects as directed by area managers. This opportunity is located at our Rochester, NY plant and requires you to work onsite.

Requirements

  • 1-4 years of analytical industry lab experience.
  • 1-4 years of experience working in a chemical plant operation.
  • Demonstrates a strong understanding of GMP regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexible in prioritizing tasks and adapting to changing priorities.
  • Available for 12-hour shifts, including overnight, weekends, and overtime.

  • Associate degree in chemistry or equivalent in a science discipline, Bachelor of Science degree, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Test wastewater impurities, in-process, and final products for Personal Care and Active Pharmaceutical ingredients.
  • Prioritizes tasks and adapting to changing priorities.
  • Performs minor repairs and maintenance on lab equipment and performs sample and process calculations as required.
  • Troubleshoots minor method issues.
  • Conducts routine laboratory tests following established procedures.
  • Prepares chemical reagents and standard solutions.
  • Provides training to other technicians as needed.
  • Assists with Microbiology data reviews.
